| The Arcata Plaza is covered with color once a year for the annual Pastels on the Plaza to benefit Northcoast Children’s Services. Businesses, schools and nonprofits buy a square on the sidewalks surrounding the Plaza to credit original pastel artwork ranging from social messages to advertisements . . . for bars and porta-potties.
